The aim of the European Master in Renewable Energy is to train post-graduate students to fill the gap between the growing industry demand for specialised renewable energy expertise and the skills available in the job market.

The European Master in Renewable Energy is directed towards engineers wanting to specialise in any of the following renewable energy technologies: wind energy, bioenergy, photovoltaics, energy conservation in buildings or hybrid systems. The course has been set up to satisfy the growing industry demand for renewable energy engineers and is operated in close cooperation with renewable energy companies.

The programme has been run since 2002 by a network of eight European universities and research centres who are leading the way in renewable energy research, development and demonstration. It is coordinated by the EUREC Agency (www.eurec.be), a consortium of European renewable energy research centres, which has its headquarters in Brussels.
