Procedure

The first thing applicants must do is to register with this site. In order to process applications it must be stored on our servers and linked to user accounts. To register simply go to the "Apply Now" page and enter a preferred username and valid email address. An email will be sent inviting you to log in using the username and an automatically generated password. When logged in it is then possible to change password to something more memorable.

Your request will need to be approved by the adminsitrator. This can take up to three days. If after three days your account has not been activated yet, we suggest that you contact directly: master@eurec.be

When successfully logged in there will be two new menus on the left side bar instead of the log-in fields. The first will be a menu to help manage application (the applicant menu) and the second will be a navigation menu that links to your user account where you can change your password etc.

Create an application

From the applicant menu (below the main navigation menu on the left) there will be a link which will get you started. Fill in the application over time and save it in an unfinished state if necessary. However, when you first create an application at least the fields in the fieldset marked "Personal details" must be completed. These fields are mandatory and are marked with a red asterisk.

The application can be saved at any time by scrolling to the bottom of the page and pressing "submit". Please note, the application will not actually be submitted for review until the box marked "finished" is clicked in the fieldset marked "Declaration".

Supply evidence of education

As part of the application process you will be asked to supply evidence of previous education, degrees etc. There is a link in the applicant menu that allows applicants to create entries of this nature. They will be accessible from the applicant menu so they can be edited or deleted if necessary.

Uploading files

When providing information about qualifications or references it is necessary to present information that can't simply put into a field, eg evidence of the successful completion of a university qualification. In a case like this it will be best if you scanned the relevant paperwork and attached it to the application. The process is very straightforward and simple.

On the application form there is a section called "Attached documents" and one of the documents that should be provided is your CV. The attaching of files is a simple two step process, firstly nominate the file you want to upload by clicking on the "Browse" button next to the text field labeled "Attach new file". Navigate to the CV document on the local hard drive and click "Open" and select it. Secondly, once the path to the CV is visible in the text field simply click "Upload" and the page will refresh to show that the document has been approved by the system.

Your application form must be saved in order to get the attached document to "stick".

Review

It is possible to review the application at any time from any internet-connected computer. Because this application procedure is web-based you will be able to continue your application from where you left off from any computer that can run a modern browser and has an internet connection. All that is required is your username and password to access your application form.

When using a computer that is available to the public, such as in an internet cafe, then make sure sensible precautions are taken such as logging out when finished and closing all browser windows before leaving the computer. This system is very accomodating and will not automatically log out after a period of inactivity so make sure you log yourself out when you're done.

Declare and submit

When finished and sure that everything is in order simply declare the understanding of the issues at the end of the form, click the "Finished" checkbox and save the application as normal. After the declaration has been made and submitted it will no longer be possible to edit the application without asking an administrator very nicely - so be careful.
