2011 EU PVSEC Student award
y is proud to announce that Matthew Clarke, 2007-2008 EUREC Master alumni from
Loughborough and Kassel Universities, will be one of five
students to be awarded the 2011 EU PVSEC Student Award at the 26th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy
Conference in
Hamburg Germany. Matthew has won for the most remarkable and outstanding student research work for the category "Advanced Photovoltaics: New Concepts and Ultra-High Efficiency". Matthew is now in the last year of his PhD at the Vienna University of Technology (Austria). His research is based on concentrator photovoltaics.
The 26th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference will be held in Hamburg, Germany, from 5th to 9th September.
Matthew will be giving an oral presentation on Tuesday September 6th (session number 1BO.12.3) entitled "A Novel, Lead-Free Soldering Process for Concentrator Photovoltaic Cells". He would be pleased to say hello to any EUREC students and alumni who also plan to attend.
