University of Zaragoza

The University

The University of Zaragoza has been part of EUREC Master since 2003. With experience in teaching the CORE section and the bioenergy specialisation. 2010 is the first year for the new specialisation on Distributed Generation and Renewable Energies Grid Integration. Although CIRCE has a vast experience in:

  • Renewable Energies
  • Ecoefficiency and Electric Market
  • Thermoelectric generation and zero emission technologies
  • Ecodesign and energetic efficiency in buildings
  • Hidrogen technologies and batteries
  • Analysis and verification of wind farms

Venue: Edificio CIRCE / Campus Río Ebro / Mariano Esquillor Gómez, 15 / 50018 ZARAGOZA (Spain)

Teaching Methods

The modules are: 1- Distributed Generation; 2- Generation and Storing Technologies; 3- Control Techniques and renewable energy integratin systems; 4- Power Grid analysis and studies; 5- Smart Grids; 6- Standards and Electric Markets.
Part of the course will be supported by practical training, combining explained theory with computer simulations with real network devices that exist in the research laboratories of CIRCE. Furthermore conferences of important electric enterprises are planned with visits to some of their installations.
