Job perspectives

Engineers in solar industries (solar heating and cooling, solar power plant). Renewable energy project developers. Experts for National or International institutions.
Researchers in academic or industrial labs.

Research Activities

The research objectives of PROMES-laboratory are:
- To transform solar energy into heat, coldness, electricity, and hydrogen (solar fuels) using particularly thermal and thermochemical processes. It includes: low temperature solar thermal processes, solar power plants (CSP), concentrating PV (CPV) and solar chemistry.
- To qualify and to improve high temperature materials, and elaborate new materials using concentrated solar energy.
- To develop and to characterized new materials for solar energy conversion.
Original research facilities are available to reach these objectives: solar furnaces and solar concentrators, solar collector testing facility, solar cooling equipment
